Five Things to Consider When Using the LED Display in a Studio

Usage Environment of LED display

The lifespan and stability of LED displays are closely related to their operating temperature. If the actual operating temperature of the LED display exceeds the product's specified usage range, not only will the lifespan of the LED display be shortened, but the product itself will also suffer serious damage.

In addition, the threat of dust cannot be ignored. Too much dust can cause the thermal stability of the LED display to decrease, and even cause leakage or burnout in severe cases. Dust can also absorb moisture, corrode the electronic circuit of the LED display, and cause some difficult to diagnose short-circuit problems. Therefore, it is important to keep the studio clean.

Shooting Distance of LED display

The appropriate shooting distance varies for LED displays with different point spacing and filling coefficients. For example, for an LED display with a point spacing of 4.25mm and a filling coefficient of 60%, the distance between the person being photographed and the LED screen is most appropriate at 4-10 meters.

This way, a better background image can be obtained when shooting a person. If the person is too close to the LED display, there will be a granular feeling in the background when shooting close-ups, which can also lead to interference in the form of a grid pattern.

Product Features of LED display

LED displays have no stitching, which can make the picture more perfect. They have lower power consumption and produce less heat, making them energy efficient and environmentally friendly. LED displays have good consistency, which can ensure uniform display of images. The small size of LED display boxes makes it easier to construct a smooth shape for the background screen. The color gamut coverage of LED displays is higher than that of other display products. LED displays have the advantage of better weak reflection properties and have high reliability during operation, with low operating and maintenance costs. LED displays with these features have a more ideal display effect.

Adjusting the Color Temperature of LED display

When using an LED display as a background in a studio, the color temperature should be consistent with the color temperature of the studio lighting to achieve accurate color reproduction in shooting.

Studio lighting sometimes uses 3200K low-color-temperature lamps or 5600K high-color-temperature lamps depending on the requirements of the program, and the LED screen needs to be adjusted to the corresponding color temperature to achieve satisfactory shooting results.

Reducing the Point Spacing of LED display

Point spacing is the distance between adjacent pixel centers of an LED display. The smaller the point spacing of the LED display, the more pixels there are per unit area, the higher the resolution, and the closer the shooting distance can be. Of course, the price of the LED display will be higher.
