What is Transparent Screen? How to Judge the Quality of Transparent LED Display Screen?

A transparent screen, as the name suggests, is an intelligent LED display that is made to look transparent. It has been optimized from its original non-transparent state, allowing the LED display screen to be transparent at certain angles, reducing the obstruction of the lamp board and structure on people's line of sight, enabling clear views of the scene behind the display screen.

This makes the displayed content more three-dimensional, giving it the feeling of a floating object, and also makes it easier for people to observe objects behind the screen, making it extremely valuable for storefront advertising.

Currently, there are two ways to achieve transparent LED display screens in the industry. The first way is to add a hollow design to a traditional LED display and match it with new patches, driving circuits, control systems, and new module structures to achieve an innovative optimization for the LED transparent display screen.

The transparent display screen industry is a new product and application that emerged in China after 2010. At the beginning, a transparent display screen referred to a transparent glass display screen.

Because other types of transparent screens had not yet appeared, a traditional LED display screen with a grid design was produced after 17 years, achieving 50% transparency. People called this grid style LED transparent display screen a transparent screen, also known as a grid screen.

For friends who are not familiar with the transparent LED display screen industry, it is easy to confuse "transparent display screen" with "transparent glass display screen". In fact, these two types of display screens are completely different products.

How to Judge the Quality of LED Transparent Display?

With their light weight, high transparency, low energy consumption, and layered visual effects, transparent LED display screens have gained market favor. How can we judge the quality of a LED transparent screen? Some say you can roughly judge the quality of the case by its appearance. Is that really the case?

Brightness Comparison

Press the acrylic board closely against different numbers of modules and slowly lift it up to see if the LED transparent display meets your brightness requirements.

Of course, it is more direct to put the module directly inside the letter. The higher the brightness, the higher the requirement for the light bead, which is relatively expensive. Low brightness is sufficient for use in pure indoor environments.

However, for storefront LED transparent screens or glass curtain wall screens, high-brightness transparent LED display screens are required.

When observing brightness, pay attention to whether the light of the bead is uniform.

When observing white light, be sure to pay attention to whether there is any color difference (this is very important). If a thin white paper is used to cover it, it may not be easy to observe, so a certain thickness of acrylic is needed.

Whether or not there is color difference is the most important part in distinguishing quality differences, and it is also one of the main reasons for the price difference of LED transparent display screens.

Wire Identification

High-quality wires that are UL certified are not reliable if they are claimed to be so by LED transparent screen manufacturers, so the most direct method is to peel off the outer layer and count the number of wire cores inside! Modules that use 15, 17, 19, and even 20 or 30 wire cores should not be worse than modules with 14 or 11 wire cores, and vice versa.

Light Bead Temperature

After being turned on for a period of time, touch the LED transparent display screen light bead with your hand. If it is very hot or even burning, it is certainly not as stable as those with lower temperature.

Soldering Quality

A full solder point indicates good welding technology, and high brightness indicates good use of solder. Serious virtual welding can easily lead to poor contact, making maintenance difficult.
